Good lordess. What can words do? They certainly fall short of what 2000 queers and friends can do in a field with a Texas-sized heap of love and a fantastic array of music and creativity. There were so many extraordinary divine moments at this year’s outrageously magical GayBiGayGay in Austin TX . I’m so thankful that Breastival Vestibule got to make the trip, and so blessed to be part of this sparkling queer Texas family tradition. 8 years and counting! Much thanks to all who engaged with the Vestibules, and big ups to Hazey and Silky for keeping the communal dream alive.
Extra thanks to Andy Campbell for sitting down with me upon arrival to Austin. Read about our conversation blogged in the Austin Chronicle here. Thanks again to the Chronicle for another shout out about this beloved family party in this piece from Brandon Watson.
Special thanks to the Maryland Institute College of Art Graduate Studies department for supporting Breastival Vestibule’s travel to TX with Graduate Travel Grant funds.
